Alia Bhatt recently revealed that she has been clinically diagnosed with ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder). In a recent interview, she talked about the two instances when she feels present. The actor revealed that she feels present when she is facing the camera and when she is with her daughter, Raha.
In a conversation with The Lallantop, Alia Bhatt spoke about her ADHD. She revealed that she used to zone out ever since she was young and she did not know it was ADHD. However, she mentioned that her friends knew about her condition. She said, “I used to get zoned out from a young age. I used to get zoned out in the classroom or during conversations… Recently, I did a psychological test and found out that I am high on the ADHD spectrum. I have ADHD – Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Whenever I told about this to my friends, they were like, ‘We always knew.’ This is not some sort of revelation. But, I didn’t know.”
Bhatt spoke about how she feels present whenever she is in front of the camera. Apart from that, she added that she feels present when she is with Raha. The actor continued, “Then, I understood why I am at peace in front of the camera. I’m most present in that moment. Whenever I am in front of the camera, I am present as the character I am playing. And I’m most present in that moment. And now after Raha, when I am with her, I am most present. These are the two moments in my life where I am more peaceful.”

Earlier in September, she had opened up about being diagnosed with ADHD. Bhatt said that it was because of her disorder that she opted for subtle makeup for her wedding. She said that she could not sit for long on the makeup chair and she went with a natural and minimal look. She tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor in 2022. They welcomed their daughter, Raha, in November 2022.
On the work front, Bhatt’s latest film Jigra has been released in cinemas.
