Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra have never admitted to being in a relationship but their frequent public outings narrate a different tale. The two have often arrived together at several occasions and sometimes piqued up their fans' curiosity by walking out hand-in-hand.
This time, the rumoured couple stole the limelight from Priyanka Chopra at the actress' own homecoming party.
Priyanka, who is back in the country after creating waves in the West with her American TV series Quantico, threw a lavish house party for her friends from the film and fashion fraternity but what caught everyone's eye was the unabashed chemistry between Alia and Sidharth.
The two were snapped while leaving Priyanka's abode when in a picture perfect moment, Sidharth held the car door for Alia while she gracefully went and sat inside.
While both maintain that they're just good friends, Alia's mother Sonia Razdan, in a recent interview said that none of these rumours should take away from her work as her social life doesn't impact her professionalism in any way. "Why should it (link-up) take away from her work? Why should any friendship take away from her hard work. Nobody is saying she is wasting her time with Sidharth and coming late on the sets or going early."
"She loves her work, she is a confident and hard-working girl. She is a young, normal girl. When she is free, it is her choice how she spends her time. Who she goes out with is her prerogative. Why can't she have a nice social life?" Soni asked.
