Amitabh Bachchan Shares Cryptic Post About Social Media, Says It 'Switched Off...'

Amitabh Bachchan shared a cryptic post on X on late Tuesday night, leaving fans confused. The superstar took to the platform, which was previously known as Twitter, to share a post regarding social media. The actor has been talking about technological developments that have impacted the way we approach social media lately, including his views on AI. Amid these comments, he took to X and wrote that social media has ‘switched off’ news.

“T 4982 – Social media switched off news!!” he wrote, leaving fans wondering what prompted this thought. Meanwhile, Amitabh also shared a post on his blog on AI. He wrote, “… and the World of AI stumbles along a path still fresh and unknown, indicative of what may lie ahead, and its eventualities .. as did someone on the Instagram .. I did not check again but hope it is working and functional .. let me go there .. just a moment .. Yaa it wrks .. but no numbers to it attached .. gives an indication .. err , you are passe .. Ok fine.”

These posts come just hours after Amitabh shared a video that was enhanced by AI. The AI generated video featured Amitabh Bachchan vibing to The Wellerman. Sharing the video, Amitabh wrote, “The wonders of AI .. how my still picture gets animated .. I did nothing .. someone did an AI imaging and this is the result .. WHERE TO NEXT.”

On the work front, Big B made his last on-screen presence in Vikas Bahl’s Ganapath. The film featured Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. Next, he is geared up for the release of his highly-anticipated sci-fi, Kalki 2898 AD starring Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. The film’s release continues to get delayed. Earlier, the film was expected to arrive in theatres on June 20 but the makers are reportedly planning to postpone its release by a few months. Additionally, Bachchan will also portray a pivotal role in Ribhu Dasgupta’s Section 84 and will collaborate with megastar Rajinikanth for the Tamil film Vettaiyan.
