Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Mr and Mrs Mahi is geared up for its release on May 31. Ahead of the film’s premiere, the makers hosted a screening on Monday. The star-studded event was also attended by Anjali Anand, popular for her role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. After the screening, the actress not only showered the lead stars of the film with praises but gave a shoutout to her friend Arjit Taneja, who also made an appearance in the film.
Delighted to watch her friend Arjit on the big screen, she took a moment to express her profound love for him through a wholesome post. In an Instagram story, she shared a snippet of the actor with his co-star Kumud Mishra also in the frame. She accompanied the picture with a heartwarming note which read, “Happiest to see my friends shine on the big screen Love you @arjitaneja Watch my sexy kill it in Mrs and Mrs Mahi In theatres 31st May.”
The former Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 contestant had more to add. She further mentioned in her stories, “Apni mummy se keh dena, main tujhe leke jaa rahi hoooooon (tell your mother that I am taking you with me) always proud of you And clapping loudest for you.”
That’s not all. For her further Instagram stories, Anjali turned a film critic and shared her review of Mr and Mrs Mahi. She lauded both the protagonists and the team for their impeccable work, and the fresh rendition of the classic song Say Shava Shava from Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Directed by Sharan Sharma, Mr and Mrs Mahi is bankrolled jointly by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. The romantic drama narrates the journey of a married couple as they pursue their dreams of playing cricket.
As for Anjali Anand, the actress is set to star alongside Jyotika and Shabana Azmi in the upcoming series Dabba Cartel. Additionally, she has Raat Jawan Hai in the pipeline. The film, starring Barun Sobti and Priya Bapat, is directed by Sumeet Vyas.
