The eighth season of Bigg Boss Tamil premiered recently with a bang. This year, the host Kamal Haasan was replaced by actor Vijay Sethupathi. A total of 18 contestants entered the show. The Bigg Boss Tamil 18 follows the theme of Boys vs Girls. The house is split with a line in the middle dividing male and female contestants. BB Tamil garnered the headlines in the first week itself after an elimination took place on the first day. Bigg Boss didn’t give a breather to the eighteen people inside the house as he asked them to name one contestant who had to leave the house in 24 hours. Amid a heated debate, actress Sachana Namidass – who is known for her role in Maharaja – had to leave the house. She was eliminated on the first day. Sachana Namidass played the role of Jothi in the film Maharaja. The film was directed and written by Nithilan Swaminathan and was released on June 14. The cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Natarajan Subramaniam, Abhirami and others. The music in the film is done by B Ajaneesh Loknath, while the cinematographer is Dinesh Purushothaman and Philomin Raj is the editor.
Sachana Namidass also has a job where she spends most of her time. Participating in an interview, Sachana revealed that apart from being an actress, she is also working in an IT company. During the shooting, the actress took leave from her job and joined the shoot. The critics appreciated the performance of the actress in the film.
This week a total of 10 contestants have been nominated for elimination in the show. It includes Arnav, Deepak, Dharsha, Jacquline, Jeffry, Muthukumaran, Ranjith, Sachana and Soundariya. Ravindar Chndrasekar also known as ‘Fatman’ has already been evicted from the house at the end of the first week. He is a film producer and actor known for Munnarivaan and Nalanum Nandhiniyum.
