Emma Watson rang in her 34th birthday on Monday, April 15. The actress, on her special day, treated fans to her two pictures that had fans swooning. Watson’s minimal approach to mark her day has taken the Internet by storm as fans can’t stop gushing over her radiant portraits shared recently.
The former Harry Potter star, for her first picture, opted for a monochrome portrait clicked by photographer Mack Breeden. It displays the actress in a fitted strappy top accessorised with a layered chain necklace and a pair of hoops adorning her ears. The stunning picture had Watson looking away from the camera for a candid picture. Next comes another striking picture which featured the actress sitting on a floor dressed in nothing but a pair of baggy jeans. The caption for the pictures included her age, 34, with a symbol for her astrological sign, Aries.
Watson began her career at the age of 9 with the first Harry Potter and went on to appear in all eight adaptations of the film. Besides, her other notable works include The Perks of Being a Wallflower, This is The End, Beauty and the Beast and Little Women. It has been five years since the actress made her on-screen presence as she stepped away from acting for her own reasons. When asked about the same in an interview with Financial Times in 2023, Watson revealed, “I think I felt a bit caged.”
She added, “The thing I found really hard was that I had to go out and sell something that I really didn’t have very much control over. To stand in front of a film and have every journalist be able to say, ‘How does this align with your viewpoint?’ It was very difficult to have to be the face and the spokesperson for things where I didn’t get to be involved in the process.”
Instead, Watson is busy working on her previously ‘unattainable’ dream of directing. Besides, she is also indulged in writing and other works behind the camera.
