Kamal Haasan’s much-anticipated film Indian 2, directed by S Shankar, is currently in its post-production stage. It is expected to release in June 2024. As Indian 2’s reported release date gets closer, the makers have left no stone unturned to create buzz around it. According to the latest reports, the first single track from Indian 2 is likely to be released on May 1. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, Indian 2’s first track is reported to be Thatha Varaaru. The lyrics of this track will announce the comeback of Kamal Haasan as Senapathy aka Indian Thatha. Apart from this song, the makers have reportedly planned to unveil a couple of tracks of the film’s audio launch. Reportedly, it has been planned to happen in May. According to the reports, the makers are expected to come up with a promotional plan to increase the expectations for the much-awaited instalment.
Indian 2 will be released at the cinemas after a long time and facing a lot of obstacles. From a tragic accident on set resulting in the death of three crew members to disputes between the production house and the director, the film suffered many setbacks. Despite these problems, the crew managed to sort out the issues and move forward with the shooting of the movie. The anticipation of India 2 has increased further with the potential development of a third instalment in the Indian franchise. According to a report in the Times of India, director S Shankar has got footage of about 6 hours with him and it was decided on the editing table that the footage will be split into 2 films. These movies include Indian 2 and Indian 3. Another report, however, denied the speculations of Indian 3 and mentioned that the extra footage doesn’t mean that all can be put together to form a film.
