Hina Khan Was On 'Lassi, Chole Bhature Diet' During Shinda Shinda No Papa Shoot

Creating quite a stir with her recent performance, Hina Khan marked her acting debut in the Punjabi film industry with Shinda Shinda No Papa. She features alongside Gippy Grewal and his real-life son, Shinda Grewal in this comedy entertainer. The film does an amazing job of blending humour with emotion and delivering a strong message to the audience. Recently, Hina Khan shared her experience from the shoot days.

In an interview with Midday, Hina Khan expressed her gratitude for the warm hospitality she received during her month-long shoot in Chandigarh for the film. “Luckily, the cast and crew ensured that I felt at home while staying there. It was lovely to see the warmth I received from everyone,” Hina said as she recalled being treated to local specialities such as lassi and chole bhature.

Hina was also all praise for the picturesque landscapes and her delightful experiences in the city. “Chandigarh is also a very very beautiful city. The green fields that we shot in for some of our scenes were just so well-kept, so beautiful, and it was such a joy shooting there. People were lovely, so simple, always greeting us with so much love wherever we shot in the city. I truly loved the entire experience of shooting for the film there,” Hina told the outlet.

As a part of her film’s promotions, Hina also attended the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match between the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Gujarat Titans (GT) held at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh. The actress shared glimpses of the event on Instagram, where she can be seen interacting with fans and posing for selfies.

Shinda Shinda No Papa is a heartwarming family comedy, directed by Amarpreet GS Chhabra, with a screenplay by Naresh Kathooria. The story unfolds across Canada and India, focusing on Gopi, a frustrated father who decides to take his mischievous son, Shinda, to India to teach him discipline. However, when Shinda discovers his father’s true intentions, it sparks a conflict between them. In addition to Hina Khan, Gippy Grewal and Shinda Grewal, the ensemble cast of Shinda Shinda No Papa also includes talented actors like Prince Kanwaljit Singh, Niraml Rishi, Raghveer Boll, Jaswinder Bhalla, Guri Ghuman, Seema Kaushal and more.

Following her latest release, Hina is now gearing up for her next project, the comedy drama series Namacool. Alongside Hina, the show also features Aaron Kaul, Abhinav Sharma, Abhishek Bajaj, Anushka Kaushik, Faisal Malik, and Aadil Khan in key roles. Written by Shantanu Srivastava and directed by Ritam Srivastav, this seven-episode series is set to premiere on Amazon miniTV soon.
