Suraj Chavan became the winner of the Bigg Boss Marathi 5. Its grand finale was aired on October 6. He won a trophy, Rs 14.6 lakh prize money, a Rs 10 lakh jewellery voucher, and a two-wheeler vehicle.
Meanwhile, in an interview, the BB Marathi 5 winner remembered the Bigg Boss Marathi 5 house and his co-contestants, which is garnering everyone’s attention. Suraj said, “I am happy to be the winner of Bigg Boss; it feels good. But I had a hard time in the Bigg Boss house. I cried after coming out.” He also added, “But I miss home, Bigg Boss house and other co-participants. But what to do? I have to come to the village; it’s home now.”
Suraj has become an overnight sensation with his win. He recently went to Modhave village, located in Baramati tehsil of Pune district in Maharashtra. The locals greeted the Bigg Boss Marathi 5 champion with tremendous enthusiasm and lit fireworks in celebration. They also smeared gulaal on each other’s faces. Along with this, a 200-kilogram garland was brought to greet Suraj, and flowers were showered on him.
He was carried around the entire village in a procession, and the villagers also clicked photographs with him. Many others have recorded footage of the BB Marathi 5 winner. Suraj also visited his village school and was given a heartfelt welcome there as well.
Suraj’s win in the Bigg Boss Marathi 5 comes after a difficult competition with singer and actor Abhijeet Sawant. Sawant finished as the first runner-up, alongside actress Nikki Tamboli, who made it into the top three finalists. The Bigg Boss Marathi 5 finale was a star-studded event, including the lead actors from the latest Bollywood film Jigra. The star cast comprised actors Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina and director Vasan Bala.
Suraj Chavan has faced many hardships. He lost his father to cancer, followed by his mother and grandmother on the same day. Suraj and his five sisters had to look after themselves because they were orphaned at an early age.
