Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor seems to have cancelled her Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit. On Monday, a post was shared on the interactive platform under the popular subreddit, BollyBlindsNGossip, on behalf of Janhvi. The actress announced she would be doing an AMA, much like her best friend Orry did in the past. Slated to take place on Tuesday, the Mr and Mrs Mahi star was going to address all kinds of questions about her life. However, the announcement did not go down as per plans.
Several social media users used the post to troll her and even asked a few inappropriate questions. The post received over 400 comments. However, it now seems like Janhvi has decided to cancel the online activity. At the time of reporting, the announcement video has been declared as ‘deleted.’ Even the user who posted the announcement has deleted their account. It is unclear if the AMA would take place in another subreddit. Janhvi is yet to comment about the turn of events.
On the work front, Janhvi is preparing for the release of Mr & Mrs Mahi. Slated to release this weekend, the film revolves around a married couple who are passionate about cricket. Janhvi Kapoor’s character is depicted as a doctor who finds joy in both watching and playing cricket, while Rajkummar Rao’s character is portrayed as an aspiring cricketer striving to establish himself in the sport. As the film unfolds, we will see Rajkummar’s Mahi leaving no stone unturned to make his wife a successful cricketer.
Apart from Janhvi and Rajkummar, the film also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Zarina Wahab and Purnendu Bhattacharya also have key roles. The film is backed by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta.
The first reviews are in and the film is getting all the love. Angad Bedi took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, “Saw this wonderful film… A story with a big heart. Asli hero toh peeche khade hoke bhi ban sakte ho!!! Well done sharry you are my 2-in-1.” Praising director Sharan Sharma and actor Rajkummar Rao, Angad added, “Honesty and vulnerability and insecurities. Makes him such a fine Mr Mahi. Janhvi aces Mrs Mahi as well as the cricket. She owns it in every frame.”
Laapataa Ladies star Nitanshi Goel also praised the film. “Gem of a film! What beautiful, genuine and powerful performances.
