Nawazuddin Siddiqui is regarded as a gem in Indian cinema. He proves his mettle in acting with every project he takes on. In a recent media conversation, the actor talked about working with the Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan and how it impacted him. Nawazuddin Siddiqui got the chance to work with Aamir Khan on two occasions. The first was Nawazuddin’s debut, Sarfarosh. The second time they shared the screen was in the 2012 mystery thriller, Talaash. In the latter, he portrayed the role of Tehmur Langda, for which he was given several Best Supporting Actor awards. Recalling his work experience with Aamir Khan, Nawazuddin mentioned how it has been a “remarkable journey.” He said, “Sharing the screen with Aamir in both Sarfarosh and Talaash has been a remarkable journey.” Nawazuddin Siddiqui mentioned how they developed a strong bond, which consisted of mutual respect and understanding. He added, “Aamir’s dedication and passion for his craft is truly inspiring, and our discussions often went beyond scripts and scenes, we loved discussing Cinema.”
Sarfarosh completed 25 years of release recently. To celebrate the occasion, the makers held a special screening of the film at PVR Juhu in Mumbai. As per reports, the whole team of the film reunited at the event to celebrate.
At the event, Aamir Khan interacted with the media, where he revealed that he had been trying to make a sequel for the 1991 release, and only now the team started to take the possibility seriously. He stated, “Sarfarosh 2 banni chaiye (Sarfarosh 2 should be made) even I feel that.” The actor added how they left Sarfarosh at a point where a sequel is possible.
Sarfarosh is directed by John Matthew Matthan, who co-wrote its screenplay with Hriday Lani and Pathik Vats. The cast of the film includes Aamir Khan, Naseeruddin Shah and Sonali Bendre. It is produced by John Matthew Matthan under the banner of Cinematt Pictures. The music is handled by Jatin-Lalit.
