Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ramayana is one of the most highly-anticipated films. It has been grabbing headlines ever since the rumours of the film started. Amid this, a photo, which is from the set of the film, has surfaced online and has gone viral on social media. Looks like the shooting of the film has started. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the updates.

Reddit has shared the viral photo on its thread. We can see a huge set in the making. Several pillars and wooden walls can be seen. The set was well-covered and not much could be seen. On Tuesday, India Today reported that director Nitesh Tiwari performed a puja on sets following which he began shooting for the film with secondary actors. Ranbir, who will be playing the role of Lord Ram in the movie, will be joining the shoot in the coming days.

Recently, Ranbir Kapoor’s preparation photo has also gone viral. His fitness coach posted a photo on Instagram showcasing the actor during an intense gym workout. The picture features Ranbir donned in workout gear, and performing a headstand with great dedication and concentration. The accompanying caption by the trainer exclaimed, “#ranbirkapoor First Headstand #headstand #ramayan #newskill #trainingwithnam #prep.” The hashtags also indicatef that this workout is part of Ranbir’s preparation for his role in the forthcoming film Ramayana. Ranbir is also learning archery for his role.

While Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of Ram in this movie, Sai Pallavi has been roped in for the role of Sita. Prior to Sai, Ranbir’s actress-wife, Alia Bhatt was in talks for the role of Sita but she backed out due to dates-related issues. KGF star Yash is also likely to play Ravana in the movie whereas Sunny Deol has reportedly been locked for the role of Hanuman. Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are also reportedly in talks for the roles of Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana respectively. Amitabh Bachchan will also be seen in the movie as King Dashrath.
