Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter’s friendship has blossomed over the years. Before becoming the close friends they are today, Carpenter was an avid fan of Swift. Recently, the Espresso singer spoke candidly about their friendship in an interview, praising Swift and even referring to her as a “rockstar.” Reflecting on her experience as the opening act at Swift’s Eras Tour concert, Carpenter described it as a “dream come true” and an unforgettable chapter in her life.
“That was just some chapter of my life that I truly, truly will never forget. I’ve never felt so welcomed before,” she told Variety.
“Well, Taylor is a rock star!” Sabrina Carpenter added, “She’s just such a gangster with all of it. No matter what people are saying, everything that I’ve ever seen her tackle, she’s done so with grace.” She also spoke about the rumours of taking permission from her best friend to work with Kim Kardashian.
Maintaining that Swift was aware of the Skims campaign and fine with her working on it, she said, “The posts about me having to ‘ask for her permission’ — no. She’s one of my best, best friends, and we grab dinner or text and catch up like you would with your best friend.”
During this time, Carpenter also nodded to the mentorship that she received from Swift, adding, “It’s so cool for me to get a perspective on this whole process from her and the community of artists that I feel I’m close to.” This is not the first time that she has spoken about her bond with the Fortnight singer. Earlier, in a conversation with the Rolling Stones, she shared how she had always been very communicative with her about situations.
“I just love her so much and support her till the end. So it was no weirdness for me, but I know people will just say things because that’s all they have time to do,” Sabrina Carpenter said while addressing online speculation about her participating in Kardashian’s Skims.
