Salman Khan has been under increasing threats from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, prompting him to significantly bolster his security. Following the murder of NCP MLA Baba Siddique, a close friend of Khan, in Mumbai, the actor has taken further steps to ensure his safety, including importing another bulletproof vehicle from Dubai.
As he continues filming the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes of Bigg Boss 18, Salman has implemented various security measures. According to a report by Bollywood Society, he recently acquired a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV worth approximately Rs 2 crore, imported directly from Dubai to Mumbai.
The newly added Nissan Patrol is known for its superior safety features and luxurious amenities. The SUV is equipped with state-of-the-art protection, including bomb alert indicators, reinforced glass capable of withstanding close-range gunfire, and tinted windows designed to conceal the identities of those inside.
Currently unavailable in the Indian market, this Nissan Patrol marks Salman’s second imported bulletproof vehicle from Dubai.
Salman’s inclusion on Lawrence Bishnoi’s hit list dates back to the blackbuck poaching incident, a species deeply respected by the Bishnoi community. The gang has been demanding an apology, warning of severe consequences otherwise. Amid these threats, Salman has been living under heightened security, especially since Bishnoi remains behind bars.
Recently, the Mumbai Traffic Police received a message from the gang, demanding Rs 5 crore for Salman’s “forgiveness.” The message threatened that if the demand wasn’t met, he would suffer a fate “worse than Baba Siddique,” who was shot dead in Mumbai on October 12, 2024.
In response to the threats, India Today reported that Khan’s security team has been reinforced with an additional eight to ten armed officers, and a special command center has been established at his residence, Galaxy Apartments, by the Mumbai Police.
On the professional front, Salman Khan is gearing up for his next release, Sikandar, directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and AR Murugadoss. The film, set for an Eid 2025 release, features a stellar cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, and Kajal Aggarwal.
