Shah Rukh Khan won the Best Actor award at IIFA 2024 for his performance in Jawan. During his acceptance speech, Shah Rukh revisited the ‘tough time’ he tackled while making Jawan, seemingly referring to Aryan Khan’s arrest. He said, “Somebody reminded me that money needs to be out into a film. I want to thank Gauri. She may be the only wife who’s spending more on the husband than the other way round. We were going through a tough time while making Jawan.”

Bobby Deol got emotional after it was revealed that he has won Best Villain Award at IIFA 2024. The actor won the award for his performance in Animal. In a video from the awards show, Bobby was seen tearing up after his name was announced as the winner of the category. Seated beside his wife Tanya, Bobby hugged Tanya and kissed her before he walked up on stage.

Karan Johar was visibly in shock after he was honoured for his contributions to the Indian film industry at the IIFA 2024. Karan completed 25 years last year. IIFA presented him with a special award to celebrate his journey so far. The award was presented to him by Shah Rukh Khan. He managed to find his way on stage and appeared to be still wrapping his head around the honour. He then touched Shah Rukh’s feet and accepted the award.
Anurag Kashyap opened up about his first encounter with actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui. In an interview posted by Rkz Theatre & Films Group, he revealed that he Nawazuddin had asked him for a role in the late 90s, when he was helping out Rajpal Yadav with a role in Satya. “Nawaz was there, so he asked me, ‘Can I also get a role?’ I told him there was no other role left but maybe I can put you somewhere. He said, ‘I have no money to eat, I will do anything.’ So in Shool, Nawaz played a waiter in one scene featuring Manoj and Raveena. It was a very thin Nawaz and that’s how it all started,” he said.
