Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan Director Atlee Posts Clip From Astra Awards, Thanks Megastar For The Film; Watch

Director Atlee, who made the hit film Jawan with Shah Rukh Khan, Nayathara, Deepika Padukone and others, attended the ASTRA Awards in January. He shared some key moments from the event on his social media. The filmmaker also thanked Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan for believing in him for the movie. The awards ceremony was held on January 6, 2024, at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.

Atlee shared a throwback video of himself and his wife Priya from the awards show on Monday. In the caption, the director wrote, “Thank you Astra awards @hollywoodcreativealliance #jawan ❤️ Thank you @iamsrk sir @gaurikhan Mam @redchilliesent, my team, @priyaatlee.” Check out the video here:

The video shows Atlee and his wife posing for photos in front of the ARTRA Awards backdrop and chatting with the media on the red carpet. Atlee looks dashing in a sharp tuxedo, while Priya opts for a stylish white outfit.

Released on September 7 this year, Jawan also starred Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone in key roles. The film received positive reviews from critics and was widely loved by all. Several celebrities including Karan Johar, Allu Arjun, SS Rajamouli, Kangana Ranaut, Sidharth Malhotra, Tiger Shroff and Ameesha Patel among others also praised the Shah Rukh Khan starrer.cJawan minted over Rs 1,100 crore worldwide.

At the moment, Atlee is engrossed in his maiden Bollywood production Baby John, an action-packed drama and a remake of his 2016 Tamil hit Theri. Co-produced by him, the film is written and directed by Kalees and features Varun Dhawan in the titular role. The star-studded cast includes Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, Sanya Malhotra (making a special appearance), Sheeba Chaddha and Rajpal Yadav. Reports are rife that he might collaborate with Ram Charan and Salman Khan for his next two projects.
