Shah Rukh-Salman Khan shoot together for 'Bigg Boss 9': Why the news is no longer exciting
In the last three years, the stories of their on and off friendship has bored us to death. In the past couple of years, Salman Khan-Shah Rukh Khan bonding has gained importance which is equivalent to major national news. Media frenzy over the SRK-Salman bromance has been creating waves ever since the two cordially greeted each other at Congress leader Baba Siddiqui’s Iftar party in 2013.

Yawn! Now they shoot together.

Thanks to the power of social media, their patch up was one of the most talked-about events of the recent times, which is getting increasingly annoying. The two actors who almost started out at the same time, shared screen space in 90s hits such as Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega and more. They were last seen eight years back when Salman Khan had appeared with Katrina Kaif, on Kaun Banega Crorepati which was then hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. Their friendship famously went sour at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party.

They are back after eight years, to shoot the promotional episode for SRK’s upcoming movie Dilwale in Bigg Boss. Going by the hype that their shooting together has created, the upcoming episode is touted as the mother of all marketing gimmicks. Advertisers are elated as the TRP of the episode slated for the coming weekend, is expected to go through the roof.

Looking back, one realises the iconic dialogue “Mere Karan Arjun Ayenge” said by Rakhi in Karan Arjun, had a deep meaning. Unfortunately, it unfolded in an embarrassingly dramatic fashion. Let’s take a look at the story so far:

The hug and patch up: In 2013, suddenly the headlines shifted to Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who hugged and posed smilingly at the Iftaar party by politician Baba Siddiqui. Both the actors tried to avoid the topic post their famous patch up and refrained from commenting on it.

The bonding got stronger: In 2014, news channels and social media were abuzz when Salman and Shah Rukh posed lovingly planting a kiss to Salman’s sister Arpita’s sangeet ceremony. The picture was a perfect billboard highlighting the love between the two stars.

Mutual ‘marketing’ club: In between, Salman and SRK came together to promote each other’s movie. SRK unveiled the first look of Bajrangi Bhaijaan on his Twitter handle, while Salman warned his fans to stop hate-tweets against SRK.

We are BFFs: Now as they are back sharing the screen space, it seals their friendship forever. The best friends are back.
