Anil Kapoor received his first birthday wishes from his eldest daughter Sonam Kapoor Ahuja as he turned 62 on Monday. Sonam, who is also set to co-star with her father for the first time in the upcoming film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, shared an emotional post on his special day and thanked him for being "so unapologetically you."
Sharing a throwback picture of Anil, she wrote: "Whether I was a curious toddler learning about the world around me, a mischievous teenager ready to rebel at any moment or a married woman, you have always been there for me standing by my side and supporting my every decision. Dearest Daddy, I wish you a very happy birthday and as always, thank you for being so unapologetically you. I love you!"
Anil was quick to reply as he commented, "Always have, always will stand by your side! It's you and Rhea who have taught me to be unapologetic about all the craziness that makes me. Me! Love you Beta."
On Monday, Rhea Kapoor had shared a video of the actor cutting as many as three cakes during mid-night birthday celebration. Every member of the family was present, except for Sonam, who is currently out of town. But she joined in the celebrations via video call.
Sunita Kapoor's birthday wish for her actor husband was equally adorable. "Happy birthday my amazing husband, my biggest blessing, my favourite answered prayer, and my true love forever," she wrote on Instagram.
