Bigg Boss Kannada OTT season 1 fame actress Sonu Gowda has come out in support of Darshan amid the ongoing Renuka Swamy murder case. In one of her recent YouTube vlogs, Sonu called herself a “fan” of the Kannada actor and urged everyone to speak in favour of him.
“I am a fan of Darshan. You all say that what Darshan did was wrong. Those who do wrong should be punished. How many people have flourished because of Darshan? Those who once benefited from Darshan are now silent. Many people have deceived Darshan, but he has never deceived anyone,” she said as quoted by ETimes.
Sonu, who was arrested in April this year for illegally adopting an eight-year-old girl, further recalled her own experiences in jail and added, “I’m speaking out now because I feel the need to raise my voice. People might talk about me tomorrow, but that doesn’t concern me. I’ve seen many innocent people end up in jail. If someone commits a wrongdoing, they will face punishment according to the law. Those who once referred to him as brother, son, or uncle are now silent about Boss.”
“Regardless of the circumstances, it is essential that we support Darshan. May positive outcomes prevail for the Renuka Swamy family, and justice be served according to the law. I pay no mind to those who speak negatively. Darshan’s integrity will safeguard him,” she concluded.
Sonu Gowda is not the first from the Kannada showbiz world who has come out in support of Darshan. Previously, actress Rachita Ram urged the media to be “unbiased and transparent” while discussing the probe. Before her, Anusha Rai also supported Darshan and told Hindustan Times that the Kannada actor is always very “kind” to his fans.
On Friday, Telugu actor Naga Shaurya also wrote a long note on social media. He addressed Darshan as “Anna” and claimed that the actor could never harm anyone. “My heart goes out to the family of the deceased, and I genuinely wish them strength during this difficult time. However, it is incredibly disappointing to see people rushing to conclusions about this issue. Darshan Anna is not someone who could ever harm anyone, even in his worst nightmares. Those who know him well can attest to his generosity, kind-hearted nature, and unwavering commitment to helping others. He has always gone out of his way to support those in need and has been a pillar of strength for many,” Shaurya wrote.
Darshan is being probed in connection to Renuka Swamy’s murder case. He was arrested on June 11 and is currently in police custody.
