Thalapathy Vijay starrer Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) has finally been released in theatres worldwide today, September 5. It is directed by Venkat Prabhu and stars Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer and Mohan in the prominent roles apart from Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. The superstar played a double role in the film. GOAT has opened to positive reviews and congratulatory messages by various celebrities. After the initial positive response, the director Venkat Prabhu shared that superstar Ajith Kumar was the first person to congratulate him for the success of the film. The post has gone viral now.
Special shows of Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT were screened at 4 am and 6 am in foreign states. A special show was screened at 9 am in Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore Broadway Cinema had a special screening at 7 am. It is believed that popular celebrities visit this theatre to watch the films. Director Venkat Prabhu has informed on the social networking platform X ( formerly called Twitter) that Ajith congratulated actor Vijay on the success of GOAT. In his post, the director wrote that actor Ajith was the first person to wish Thalapathy Vijay, Venkat Prabhu and the GOAT team for the success of the film. Venkat Prabhu shared a photo of himself with Ajith and Vijay during the shooting of Mankatha in 2011.

Venkat Prabhu and the team have revealed several times during the promotion of the film that there are reference scenes of Ajith in the film GOAT. The fans had been thronging the doors of the theatres since the night before the release of the film. In some places, the fans have been waiting to welcome Vijay’s film by playing the songs released by the actor.
Thalapathay Vijay’s GOAT was produced under the banner of AGS Entertainment. It was made under the budget of approximately Rs 400 crore.
