The much anticipated third season of the political crime thriller series Mirzapur finally premiered on July 5. With its action-packed scenes and intense storyline, the series prompted rave reviews from the audiences. Besides, its cast continues to receive love for their impeccable work. Expressing gratitude to the devoted fan base of Mirzapur, Vijay Varma has now dropped a post on Instagram. Known for playing double roles Bharat Tyagi and Shatrughan Tyagi in the series, Vijay acknowledged fans’ love through the post.
Vijay Varma left a lasting impression with his portrayal of the twin brothers in the second season of the show. However, in the third installment, he returned to play a single role winning several hearts and critical acclaim. As the love continues to pour in for his role as Tyagi ji, Vijay Varma shared a few stills from the sets and accompanied them with a note filled with gratitude. He wrote, “Thank you for the crazy love. Mirzapur fandom is truly unparalleled.”

Starring Ali Fazal as Guddu, Shweta Tripathi as Golu and Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiyya, Mirzapur reflects on the gang wars in a small town in Uttar Pradesh. With several men competing to rule the throne, the battle intensifies, resulting in a plot that has fans kept on edge. Among the other actors who played pivotal roles in the series are Isha Talwar, Rasika Duggal and Kulbushan Kharbanda among others.
With its massive fandom, Mirzapur has garnered a lot of “love and reach” to its actors. Previously, in an interview with PTI, Vijay Varma reflected on the popularity of the show and said, “It’s unparalleled (the show’s popularity). I can’t tell you how much this show gives us because jaha par kisine kuch nahi dekha hai usne ‘Mirzapur’ dekha hai (people who haven’t seen anything have seen the show). So, that’s the kind of love and reach… It’s like you’re not worried about what the critics will say. It’s a good feeling.”
Amid all the positive reviews coming his way, Vijay Varma is engrossed in filming for other projects in his pipeline. These projects include the Netflix web series IC84- The Kandahar Hijack and the highly anticipated Prime Video web series Matka King. Additionally, the actor will also be a part of Ul Jalool Ishq alongside Fatima Sana Shaikh. As for his last project, Vijay had a notable role in Murder Mubarak which premiered on Netflix. Starring Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Pankaj Tripathi among others, the film was directed by Homi Adajania.
