Vikas Sethi’s funeral took place on Monday evening. A video from the funeral has surfaced online in which Vikas’ mother, Suraksha Sethi broke down seeing her son’s mortal remains. Vikas was cremated in Mumbai a day after he died. He passed away on Sunday in Nashik following a heart attack.
The last rites was attended by his mother, his grieving wife and other family members. Vikas’ Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi co-star Hiten Tejwani was also present at the funeral. He paid his last respects and met Vikas’ family. Also present at the funeral was TV actor Sharad Kelkar. Watch the video below:
Vikas Sethi’s wife Jhanvi Sethi spoke to PTI after his death and shared details of his death. She revealed that the couple was in Nashik for a family event when he started vomiting and experiencing diarrhea. He didn’t want to go to the hospital, so they called a doctor home.
“After we reached my mother’s house in Nashik, he had vomiting and loose motions. He didn’t want to go to the hospital so we asked the doctor to come home,” she said. When she checked on him, he had already passed away. “When I went to wake him up at around 6 am (on Sunday), he was no more. The doctor there told us he passed away last night in his sleep due to a cardiac arrest,” she shared. His body has been sent to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai for a post-mortem.
Vikas was best known for his role in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin to Hoga and Kasautii Zindagi Kay (the old one). He also had a short but impactful role in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum. The actor played the role of Robbie, Kareena Kapoor’s boyfriend in the movie.
