Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is known for his talent in diverse successful films. He’s also a loving father to Aaradhya Bachchan. In a recent interview, he shared parenting tips and praised his wife, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, for managing household responsibilities, allowing him to focus on his career.
While discussing Aishwarya’s role in supporting his career, Abhishek mentioned during an interview with HT that she takes care of the lion’s share of the household responsibilities, letting him to focus on his work. He added, “I have to put a caveat here – I do not do the heavy lifting at home. That is entirely done by my wife. She allows me to go and do my work.”
Speaking of parenting advice, the actor stressed upon the fact that parenting in this generation should be different from the past because “this generation is far more sensitive and inquisitive”. He said, “Sometimes, we feel like reprimanding them because that is how we were brought up. That is how we were reprimanded and disciplined as children, but this generation is far more sensitive,” shared the actor.
He said that the current generation hasn’t experienced the same challenges as previous generations in achieving their present status. He said that today’s generation is exceptionally curious and has grown up in an era of too much information and technology. Which is why, he said, it is important to address and answer all their questions.
The actor remembered asking Shweta when her kids got their first phones at age 10. Shweta then questioned when he got his first phone and about their father’s experience. The actor chuckled and said, “My sister told me ‘do you think he got upset you got a mobile phone at 22?’ This new generation is better informed,” said the actor.
