Ira Khan and celebrity fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare tied the knot in Mumbai recently, surrounded by close friends and family. Actor Mithila Palkar, a dear friend of the newlyweds, posted photos on her Instagram stories, expressing joy. In one picture with the couple, she captioned it simply as “Happy.” Another snap featured YouTuber and actor Prajakta Koli, and Mithila also shared a video of herself dancing at the wedding festivities.

Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare got engaged in September 2022 in an unconventional manner. Nupur proposed to Ira during his participation in Ironman Italy. At the recent wedding, Aamir Khan was seen posing with the newlyweds.

The newlyweds, along with Aamir Khan, Reena Dutta, Kiran Rao, Azad, and Junaid, had a lively family gathering. On the professional front, Ira marked her directorial debut with a theatrical adaptation of Euripides’ Medea, starring Hazel Keech. This production premiered in various cities across India in December 2019. Ira, with a background in music, and her brother Junaid, often collaborate with their father Aamir Khan in filmmaking. Meanwhile, Nupur Shikhare, a celebrity fitness trainer, has worked with Aamir Khan, Sushmita Sen, and other notable celebrities.

Ira is Aamir Khan’s younger child with his first wife, Reena Dutta. Aamir, who was married to filmmaker Kiran Rao for 15 years, announced their divorce in July 2021. Despite their separation, they maintain a co-parenting relationship with their son, Azad.

Earlier this month, Ira gave a glimpse into her creative wedding preparations by sharing a video. In it, she revealed her unique “puzzle invite” strategy for asking friends to be her bridesmaids.
