Jawan Director Atlee's FIRST Reaction On Film's Phenomenal Opening: 'Shah Rukh Khan Also Loved...'
In an exclusive conversation with CNN News18, Atlee thanked audiences and shared that even Shah Rukh Khan 'loved' Jawan.

September 7 will always be remembered and celebrated by Shah Rukh Khan fans as Jawan fever has gripped the entire nation and has turned into a festival. The Atlee directorial is getting immense love from the audience and critics alike. Several videos of fans dancing inside and outside theatres from all over the country are going viral on social media. Following the film’s phenomenal opening, Atlee has now expressed his gratitude to fans.

In an exclusive conversation with CNN News18, Atlee thanked audiences for showering immense love on his film and said, “The movie is amazing. Let the movie speak. Don’t want to talk much. Thank you all. Love you.” He further revealed Shah Rukh Khan’s reaction to the movie and shared that even the superstar loved it.

Atlee was also joined by Jawan’s music composer Anirudh R who said, “It was such a great experience to work for the film. Great response from the audience so far. The movie will become a big hit worldwide.”

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan is written and directed by Atlee. Besides Shah Rukh Khan, it also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra and Riddhi Dogra in key roles. Deepika Padukone also makes a special appearance in the movie.

Meanwhile, it is being said that Jawan is all set to break records and become the biggest Bollywood opener at the box office of all time. As reported by Sacnilk.com, Jawan has already earned Rs 35.6 crores at the box office in India due to its advance booking. Jawan is releasing in about 10,000 screens, making it one of the widest releases ever for an Indian movie. Film trade expert Taran Adarsh also told News18 Showsha that Jawan is likely to record opening day box office collection of Rs 85 crore in all languages.

News18 Showsha’s review of Jawan reads, “Shah Rukh Khan takes the maximum screen time and rightly so. The first half is packed with some high-octane action thrills and some interesting action pieces as it overrides emotions for a major part. With Pathan and now in Jawan, we see SRK in a new territory as a full-fledged action hero and it feels that the actor is trying to depart from his romantic roles that he has been most loved in by his fans. The actor is ably supported by lady superstar Nayantara who kicks some as*es as a powerful cop. Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist has a good screen presence.”
