Kangana Ranaut visited the new parliament on Tuesday evening when she talked about the bill and called it a 'very big reform'.

Kangana Ranaut has expressed happiness as the Women’s Reservation Bill gets introduced in the parliament on Tuesday, September 19. The bill which has been named Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam seeks to provide 33 per cent quota for women in Lok Sabha and state assemblies.

Kangana Ranaut visited the new parliament on Tuesday evening when she talked about the bill and called it a ‘very big reform’. “This is a historic day…this new Parliament building is symbolic of Amritkaal. This is a sacred tample. Such an important day, BJP could speak about anything or any bill but they chose women empowerment. This shows their thoughts and mindset. Our country is in capable hands,” she told news news agency ANI.

Esha Gupta, who was also present at the new parliament also shared that the bill will bring forth the voices of women when it comes to decision making. “The bill being tabled on the first day of the new Parliament highlights the commitment to progress. It’s crucial to listen to the voices of women. This bill will empower women, and PM Modi has been advocating various initiatives for women, including ‘Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao’,” she said.

The two actresses were also seen posing with the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur. Esha shared the pictures on her Instagram handle and wrote, “Honoured to be a part of this historic day today at the Parliament House. Thank you @narendramodi ji for focusing towards women upliftment.”

Actress turned politician Hema Malini expressed happiness and hoped that the bill will be passed soon too. She also shared that with this bill, the number of women MPs will increase from 81 to 181.

“September 19 has become historic because the first bill in the new Sansad- Women’s Reservation Bill was introduced today and I hope it will be passed soon. At present, we are only 81 (women) MPs, after this Bill, our number will be around 181. So women’s representation will increase… Women are doing good work and they should come forward, the sky is open for you to fly,” she said.
