Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut whos currently awaiting the release of her two big projects Tejas and Emergency, recently spoke about the massive success of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan, and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2. These films have also revived the show business in Bollywood.
Speaking to Times Now about the same, Kangana opined that as an industry they have all come together. She added that the divide between the North and South vhas been diminishing and the industry has surely done some ‘rethinking’. “People like Sunny Deol were not in the race for too long, we need them,” she said.
Earlier this month, Kangana in fact praised Shah Rukh Khan for breaking box office records with Jawan. Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote, “From being the ultimate lover boy of the nineties to a decade long struggle again to reinvent his connection with his audience in his late forties to mid fifties and ultimately rising as the quintessential Indian mass super hero at the age of 60 (almost) is nothing short of super heroic even in real life. I remember the time when people wrote him off and mocked his choices but his struggle is a master class for all those artists who enjoying long careers but must reinvent and reestablish. SRK is the cinema God that India needs not just for hugs or dimples but for some serious world saving as well. Bowing down to your perseverance, hard work and humility King Khan.”
Apart from Jawan, Pathaan, Gadar 2, the other films which performed well at the box office were Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahanii, Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2, Ananya Panday and Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2, and Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s SatyaPrem Ki Katha.
Coming Back to Jawan, the SRK-Nayanthara starred has now become the fourth highest grossing Hindi film after beating the lifetime business of Yash and Sanjay Dutt’s KGF 2.
