BJP politician and spokesperson, Shaina NC’s NGO,’I Love Mumbai’ took up the restoration work of the 169-year-old Byculla railway station in the city which led it to receive UNESCO’s Asia Pacific Cultural Heritage award.

“This project was done for the commuters by our NGO as a tribute to our city Mumbai. Heritage conservation architect Abha Lamba and Minal Bajaj of Bajaj Trust partnered with us to give back to the community. We are sure this can be implemented across the country too,” Shaina NC said.

“The 169-year-old Byculla railway station in Mumbai is one of the oldest living railway stations in India. It received UNESCO’s Asia Pacific Cultural Heritage award which we presented to Hon Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnav ji,” she added.

Shaina NC also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the prestigious award saying he always inspires people to do good work.
