Zeenat Aman made her Instagram debut in February this year. Since then, she has been quite active on the platform, sharing her words of wisdom on topical events. Saira Banu soon followed suit when she joined the platform on Dilip Kumar’s second death anniversary in July this year. She uses the platform to recall unheard anecdotes from her and Dilip’s personal and professional lives. Sonam Kapoor recently shared her thoughts on the veteran actresses’ Instagram debuts.
Talking to India Today, Sonam said, “I think it’s just a way of communicating. You know as artists we always want to communicate our story, whether it’s through cinema, we always want to communicate and that is who we are. Wo hamari fitrat main hi hai toh hum usko change nahi kar sakte (This is in our nature and we cannot change it) and social media is another platform for it.”
Talking to the news site, Sonam spoke about her hiatus from films to spend time with her baby boy Vayu. She said, “I miss cinema and the industry but at the same time, this time was very important for me to bond with my baby, and have time with my family. I started working when I was 17 and took a break when I was 36, so I think I gave enough time [to work]. I am ready to come back to work now.”
“But, that break was important for me to avoid feeling stuck in a rut. I don’t want to regret not spending time with my baby, my family. No woman should feel guilty about giving time to their family,” Sonam added.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonam Kapoor was last seen in the crime thriller Blind with Purab Kohli. The film was helmed by Shome Makhija as the director and produced by Sujoy Ghosh. Sonam had earlier PTI that she will begin working on her next film, Battle for Bittora next year. The film will be an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s novel of the same name.
