Varun Sood is gearing up for his inaugural appearance in a web series, featuring alongside Raveena Tandon in ‘Karmma Calling.’ The actor discussed his character in the series. ‘Karmma Calling’ serves as the Hindi adaptation of the American drama series Revenge.
In the role of Ahaan Kothari, portrayed by Varun Sood, the character is depicted as flamboyant, vulnerable, and in the process of finding his place within the Alibaug society. The storyline unfolds in a world characterised by glitz, glamour, deceit, and betrayal, where Ahaan grapples with the conflict between his family legacy and following his heart.
Talking about his character, Varun Sood said “With Karmma Calling, I am making my series debut. When I first encountered Ahaan Kothari on paper, it felt like an immediate connection. Being empathetic towards him came naturally as I found our personalities to be quite similar. I also wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone with Ahaan Kothari and his flamboyance.”
Explaining his workout routine, he said, “I intensified my exercise and diet to better embody the character. It’s my way of fully embracing the role and bringing Ahaan to life. I hope audiences enjoy seeing me in this new avatar as Ahaan Kothari.”
Speaking about his workout regime, he added, “I took my workout routine and diet to another level, this is something that I do to live the character a little more. It’s my own way of living in the skin of the character. I just wanted to bring Ahaan to life in every sense. I am sure that even the audiences will like Ahaan Kothari and enjoy seeing me in this new avatar.”
On the personal front, Varun recently took to Instagram to share a photo with a mystery girl. He didn’t caption the photo but just dropped a shine emoji. Many are speculating that he has found love again in influencer Namrata Sheth, who is tagged in the photo.
