Canadian Group Linked to Pakistan's ISI Planning Rally to Support Troubled Trudeau: Sources | Exclusive
Officials say Justin Trudeau is totally on the back foot right now in Canada and is spreading rumours against India as a desperate counter

A group linked to Pakistan’s spy agency ISI is backing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as he faces flagging popularity in his country in the thick of a diplomatic face-off with India, Indian intelligence sources have told CNN-News18. This group has announced a rally in favour of Trudeau on September 23 in Surrey.

The event is being led by Rahat Rao, who is close to the ISI and groups from Pakistan visit him very often and stay at his home, said the sources.

The rally is being organised at Surrey Central SkyTrain Station so that the maximum possible number of people can join, they added.

Sources said a large number of people from outside Surrey are also expected to arrive.

According to Indian officials, Trudeau is totally on the back foot right now at home and is spreading rumours against India as a desperate counter.

Sources say the Surrey network of the ISI is the strongest in Canada.
