The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 registration process for the January session will close today, November 27. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on the official website of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) CTET at ctet.nic.in. The exam is slated to be held on January 21 across the country.

After the registration process is over, the CTET 2024 application form correction window will open tomorrow, November 28. It will close on December 2. The CTET January 2024 will be administered across 135 cities in 20 different languages.

CTET will be covered across two papers in two shifts. Paper 1 will be conducted for individuals who want to be teachers in classes 1 through 5. On the other hand, paper 2 will be for those who would like to teach classes 6 through 8. The exam results will be announced in February.

CTET January 2024: How to Apply

Step 1: Go to the official CTET website — ctet.nic.in.

Step 2: Choose the “Apply Online” option and fill out the form.

Step 3: Complete the CTET 2024 online application.

Step 4: Submit the scanned copy of your documents, signature, and photograph.

Step 5: Submit the examination fee

Step 6: Download and print a copy of the confirmation page for your records.

CTET January 2024: Application fee

The examination fee for CTET Paper I or Paper II is Rs 1000 for General, OBC (NCL) candidates. If an applicant is applying for both Paper I and Paper II, the fee to be submitted is Rs 1200. The examination cost for the CTET is Rs 500 for Paper I or Paper II only for SC, ST, and PwD. The examination fee for such candidates when applying for both Paper I and Paper II is Rs 600.

CTET January 2024: Exam Pattern

Every question in the CTET 2024 will be a multiple-choice question (MCQ) with a total of four options, only one of which will be the best response. There will be no negative scoring and one mark will be assigned to each correct answer. Assessing candidates’ qualifications and suitability for teaching positions in elementary and secondary schools is the main objective of the exam.
