The Delhi University (DU) will begin the registration for the mop-up round of admissions to undergraduate (UG) programmes offered by the university from tomorrow, October 12. The candidates can visit the official website, admission.uod.ac.in, to register and check the list of colleges and programmes that have been made available for the DU mop-up round UG admission 2023.
The registration procedure must be finished by October 20 for candidates who will be assigned seats in the mop-up round. Candidates must submit their application to their preferred institutions for the DU UG admission mop-up round. Additionally, students must submit their applications in accordance with the guidelines provided by the colleges affiliated with DU.
Delhi University UG Admission 2023 Mop-Up Round: How to Register
To register for DU UG Admission 2023, follow the steps listed below.
Step 1: Go to Delhi university’s official website at admission.uod.ac.in.
Step 2: On the home page, click the “Registration” link.
Step 3: Fill out all of the mandatory details and register.
Step 4: Sign in, fill out the DU UG Admission mop-up round registration form, upload any required papers, and submit.
Step 5: Save and print a copy of the application form for future records.
For this mop-up round round, there won’t be any registration fees. Students should make sure that all their paperwork is updated and valid, as per the requirements of the respective institutions.
The admission will be held on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2023). If seats remain vacant after exhausting the CUET 2023 applicants, colleges can admit students on the basis of the qualifying examination. The university emphasised that no admission will be done on supernumerary seats.
The university said the decision to conduct the mop-up round has been taken on the directions of University Grants Commission (UGC). The university also received requests from colleges and some candidates to conduct the round, the university further added.

Mop-up rounds for UG admission 2023 are being held by Delhi University in order to fill up vacant seats in a broad range of programmes.
Occasionally, some seats are left empty after all regular rounds of admission have been completed. Several factors contribute to this, including students withdrawing their enrollment, failing to accept the offered seats, or failing to satisfy the qualifying standards.
