Election 2023 News: In Chitrakoot, PM Modi Hails 'Unforgettable' Industrialist Arvind Mafatlal
Assembly Elections 2023 Updates: In poll-bound Rajasthan, chief minister Ashok Gehlot is set to announce more freebies at press conference around 11:30 am.

Assembly Elections 2023 Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Madhya Pradesh on Friday, October 27, for the second time in a week and fourth in less than a month. He was in Gwalior five days ago.

The prime minister will land in the poll-bound state around 1:45pm. He will reach Chitrakoot in Satna district and participate in various functions at the Shri Sadguru Seva Trust.

He is also scheduled to offer prayers at Raghubir temple, visit Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, pay tributes at the samadhi of Arvind Bhai Mafatlal and inaugurate the new wing of the Jankikund Chikitsalaya.

According to the prime minister’s website, during his visit to Chitrakoot, Modi will also visit Tulsi Peeth. At around 3:15 PM, he will perform pooja and darshan at Kanch Mandir.

Meanwhile, in poll-bound Rajasthan, chief minister Ashok Gehlot is set to announce more freebies. Earlier, Priyanka Gandhi had announced LPG at Rs 500 and Rs 10,000 a year for women. Congress state chief Govind Dotasra (who was raided by ED a day ago) is also expected to be present at the CM’s press conference in Jaipur at 11:30 am.

Latest Election Updates:

• The Congress on Thursday released its third list of 19 candidates for the November 25 Rajasthan assembly elections, taking to 95 the total number of nominees declared by the party so far. The party included 13 sitting MLAs, including a Cabinet minister, in this list.

The Congress has fielded Shobha Rani Kushwah from Dholpur, Rajendra Prateek from Sikar, Wajib Ali from Nagar, Harish Chandra Meena from Deoli-Uniara, Heera lal Darangi from Jhalod (ST) and Lakhan Singh Meena from Karauli, among others, according to the third list declared by the party.

• Nagaur MP and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party convener Hanuman Beniwal on Thursday night announced an alliance with Aazad Samaj Party (Kanshiram), led by Chandrashekhar Azad, for the November 25 assembly elections in Rajasthan.
