The Ministry of Home Affairs has published the results of the written test for the position of Intelligence Bureau (IB) Junior Intelligence Officer (JIO) Cadre-II. A written test was administered in order to fill 797 positions of Junior Intelligence Officers (JIO), Grade II (Technical) on July 22. The list of over 4,000 qualifying candidates has been released by the Ministry of Home Affairs on its official website – mha.gov.in. Applicants who have qualified in the written exam round will have to appear for the subsequent rounds which are the skill test, interview, document verification and medical examination.

The call letters for the Tier-II/III exams—which include the date, time, location, pertinent instructions, etc.—will be made available to candidates through email or SMS in due course. The notification highlighted that the roll numbers have been listed in ascending order for the convenience of applicants and are not in the order of merit.

The result announcement further said that simply passing the Tier-I or Tier-II/III test does not entitle the candidate to claim his/her selection for the position. The final decision would be based on a combination of performance in Tiers I, II, and III tests.

Step 1: Go to the MHA’s official website at mha.gov.in.

Step 2: A new page will open once you click on the “what’s new” section.

Step 3: A link to IB Result 2023 for IB Junior Intelligence Officers Tier I is provided at the top of the site’s home page.

Step 4: When you click on the IB JIO Tier I Result link, the PDF file will open.

Step 5: Review the IB Junior Intelligence Officers Tier I exam results and save the document.

Step 6: Take a print out of the IB Junior Intelligence Officers Tier I exam result for future records.

Those who pass the Tier I examination are eligible to take the Tier II exam. The Tier II test will take place in November or December 2023. Candidates who are hired as Junior Intelligence Officers would receive a salary in the grade pay Level-4, which has a pay range of Rs 25,500 – Rs 81,100.
