The Meta-owned photo and video sharing social networking platform Instagram is testing a new feature, allowing users to react and respond to notes in DMs using audio, photo, video, gifs, and stickers.
“We’ve been testing new ways to react and respond to notes in DMs using audio, photo, video, gifs, and stickers. We hope this gives people new and fun ways to connect and interact in notes,” Instagram head Adam Mosseri wrote Broadcast Channel.
The new feature is still in the testing phase, so it’s not clear when it will be rolled out to all users. However, it has the potential to make DM conversations on Instagram more engaging and expressive.
Meanwhile, Instagram has also rolled out a new feature, allowing users to add song lyrics to their Reels. This feature was previously available for Instagram stories. “New feature alert. We’re rolling out a way to add song lyrics when editing your reels, just like you can on Stories,” Instagram head Adam Mossari said on his Channel.
“We’ve seen people manually add lyrics to reels, so hope this makes it easier to use music to express yourself. Working on more updates to get creative on reels, stay tuned.” he added.
You can easily include song lyrics in your Instagram reels by following these simple steps
– Tap the music button,
– Select a song
– New, swipe left to add the lyrics for the chosen song.
– Your reel is ready with lyrics.
The ability to add song lyrics has been a feature in Instagram Stories for quite some time. It’s unclear why it took Instagram so long to extend this feature to Reels.
Recently, the Meta-owend app also introduced user-friendly tools for creating Reels. These tools include improved templates and a template browser categorised into Recommended, Trending, and Saved sections, making it easy for users to discover the right template for their content.
