Kejriwal Govt Involved in Neck-deep in Corruption: Delhi Cong After AAP MLA Shows Wads of Cash in Assembly
Delhi Congress president Anil Chaudhary alleged that the incident in the House was "proof" that MLA of a ruling party accepts bribes and the AAP is involved in "neck-deep corruption"

The Delhi Congress on Wednesday accused the Arvind Kejriwal government of being involved in “neck-deep corruption” after an AAP MLA showed wads of cash inside the Delhi Assembly, claiming that a private contractor tried to bribe him.

Delhi Congress president Anil Chaudhary alleged that the incident in the House was “proof” that MLA of a ruling party accepts bribes and the AAP is involved in “neck-deep corruption”.

“The extent of corruption prevalent in the Kejriwal government was evident when an AAP MLA of Rithala Assembly, Mohinder Goel, waved a bundle of currency notes in the Delhi assembly alleging that a contractor had bribed him,” Chaudhary said.

He alleged that on one hand, the AAP talks about “India against corruption” and on the other, the party itself gets involved in corruption.

“While Arvind Kejriwal talks about India against corruption, his own party is involved in corruption. The fact that a ruling party MLA accepted the bribe amount was also proof enough that he was in league with such corrupt contractors.

“Accepting such slush money invites penal action and waving such ill-gotten money in the Assembly was an illegal act too and the Speaker should take cognizance of it,” he alleged.
