‘SFJ Fabricated Heckling Video’: Indian Envoy Felicitated by Local Sikhs, Say Intel, Govt Sources | Exclusive
Khalistanis 'heckling' India’s Ambassador to the US: “The Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) is making such videos just to prove their point and make money from Pak. There is no report of any disrespect towards the Ambassador by the local Sikh community,” said top govt sources. “...These goons make videos for false propaganda...Ambassador Sandhu was a guest and honoured by the local Sikh community,” said intel sources

Top government sources have rubbished reports on a circulated video, showing pro-Khalistani activists allegedly heckling India’s Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, and mentioning slain Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, during his visit to a gurudwara in New York on the occasion of Guruparab, calling it “wrong and fabricated news". Top intelligence sources said the video was part of Sikhs for Justice’s (SFJ) “false propaganda meant only to gain attention".

“It is wrong and fabricated news. The Ambassador is well-respected in the Indian Sikh Community in the USA. The Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) is making such videos just to prove their point and make money from Pakistan. There is no report of any disrespect towards the Ambassador by the local Sikh community," said top government sources.

“Indian diplomats are always well-received and respected in all communities of the USA, UK, Canada and other European countries. On the basis of advance information, these goons make videos for false propaganda. On the other hand, the story is always different. In today’s incident, we can see that Ambassador Sandhu was a guest and honoured by the local Sikh community," said intelligence sources.

Sandhu in his post on X said: “Privileged to join the local Sangat, including from Afghanistan, at Guru Nanak Darbar of Long Island in celebrating Gurpurab- listened to Kirtan, spoke about Guru Nanak’s everlasting message of togetherness, unity, & equality, partook langar, and sought blessings for all."

‘LOCAL POLICE AS MUTE SPECTATORS’

“SFJ, led by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, is an organisation created by Pakistan-based Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Pakistan didn’t win even single war against India, so it has created SFJ, which is getting 10,000 USD for doing this job on social media," intel sources said.

Pannun is a global terrorist and name as an accused in several First Information Reports (FIR) across India. In other incidents, these SFJ goons attacked an old father and his son who had gone for a community camp by Indian diplomats for pensions. Now, these goons have started going to local temples to harass the Hindu community, said sources.

“The only point of concern is that the local police remain mute spectators and don’t take action whereas, on the other hand, these Ambassadors enjoy Y category protection in India. We will raise these matters with our counterparts soon," they said.

“The safety and security of Indian missions and diplomats is a matter of huge concern for the Indian government and should be a top priority for the host government too. Any bilateral relationship shouldn’t be applied to these goons. The Indian side is committed to it and we expect the same from the other side," intel sources added.

KHALISTANIS TARGET HINDU TEMPLES IN CANADA

Recently, in Surrey, a large number of Khalistani groups came to protest in front of Hindu temple Laxmi Narayan Mandir. As a counter, members of the Hindu community, too, protested peacefully against the daily harassment outside Hindu temples in Canada. According to reports, the Khalistanis were forced to leave the spot, after the protests by Hindu groups.

Insiders from Laxmi Narayan Mandir said, “This is a regular feature. Khalistani goons come and protest. We are fearing for our lives because of them. The Canadian government is not taking any interest and has never taken any action despite our repeated complaints against these groups."

A day before, the Khalistani groups also protested in front of Kali Bari temple, Mississauga, holding Khalistani flags and raising slogans against the Indian government and seeking justice for Nijjar.

“These goons are now frequent visitors to Hindu temples. They intimidate Hindus and stay there for long. Local administration is aware of this, but they don’t interfere. These videos will be given to the government locally and we will raise this to the higher authorities too," said top intelligence sources.

Nijjar was shot dead outside a gurdwara in the Punjabi-dominated Surrey city of British Columbia province of Canada in June by two unidentified bike-borne assailants.
