We all know about Sudha Murty, the Chairperson of Infosys Foundation, a renowned author of over 150 books, a philanthropist, and social worker. She is married to Infosys co-founder N R Narayana Murthy. Despite holding all of these powerful positions in society, she is known for her humility. Her simplicity shines through her daily gestures. Now, co-founder of India Hemp and Co, Jayanti Bhattacharya, took to LinkedIn and shared how she had an encounter with Mrs Murty at the airport. Sharing an image with her, she wrote, “It’s good to know that in a world of Elon Musks, we’ll always have our Sudha Murty."

Jayanti claimed that she had always heard about Mrs Murty’s grace, grit, intelligence and creativity. “What blew me away was her patience, her humility and her simplicity. Mrs. #Sudha #Murty, a #Padmabhushan recipient (mother-in-law to the Prime Minister of the UK) – just waiting in a busy airport with us, talking and connecting with everyday people," she wrote.

This comes just a day after it was revealed that Mrs Murty has not purchased any new saree in years despite having a net worth of Rs 700 crore. In an interview, she said, “I was in Kashi to take the holy dip, and when you go to Kashi you have to give up something that you enjoy the most. I gave up shopping, particularly sarees, from then. I now only buy the essential items."
