The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2023 examination concluded on December 14. On the last date of the examination, the commission issued a notice on its official website and announced that the cyclone-affected candidates of Chennai and Nellore who were not able to appear for the UGC NET December 2023 examination on December 6 due to the Michaung cyclone could appear on December 14.
“Due to a natural calamity (Michaung) in Chennai and Andhra Pradesh, many candidates were not able to reach the exam centres and did not appear in the examination scheduled for December 6, 2023. Therefore, the National Testing Agency has decided to give another opportunity to appear in the UGC-NET December 2023 Exam, which will be conducted on December 14, 2023, for cyclone-affected candidates in Chennai and Nellore for those candidates who could not appear in the exam for all subjects that were scheduled for December 6, 2023,” the official notification read.
After the National Testing Agency (NTA) concludes the UGC NET December 2023 examination, it will publish the provisional answer keys of the examination along with candidates’ responses and question papers on the official website. Furthermore, it is important to note that the NTA will also give candidates who have appeared for the examination a chance to send their feedback and challenge the provisional answer keys.
To do this, they will have to pay a non-refundable fee per question and attach the supporting documents to prove their challenge. After the subject experts review the objections sent by the candidates, the answers will be modified or the questions will be withdrawn. Any such change will be reflected by the NTA in the final answer key and the UGC NET December 2023 result, which will be uploaded on the official website of UGC NET at www.ugcnet.nta.ac.in ahead of the results.
Candidates are advised to keep a regular check on the official website of UGC NET for any updates regarding the UGC NET December 2023 provisional answer key release date and time and information regarding the final answer key and results.
