Agra: Nand Kishore, accused of forcibly converting over a 100 people into Hinduism in an Agra village, surrendered before police on Tuesday.
"Agra conversion accused Nand Kishore has surrendered," Agra DIG Lakshmi Singh said.
Kishore was the most wanted accused named in FIR in the case and carried an award of Rs 12,000. Police have been looking for him for the past few days and had pressurised his family members also for his surrender.
Proceedings in Parliament has hit a roadblock ever since the incident with the opposition demanding a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
