56. Bagru is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Jaipur Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Bagru falls in Jaipur district and Central region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a urban seat.
There are a total of 2,93,929 voters in the seat, which includes 1,55,404 male voters, and 1,38,525 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Bagru recorded a voter turnout of 72.37%. In 2013 the turnout was 72.7%, and in 2008 it was 55.6%.
In 2013, Kailash Verma of BJP won the seat by a margin of 46,356 votes (26.33%). Kailash Verma secured 57.34% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 3,517 votes (2.95%), registering 47.87% of the total votes polled.
