Kejriwal's Sewa at Golden Temple Was for Publicity: Amarinder Singh
"Moreover, you don't atone for others' sins and that too when the count of your own sins is already too long to do such favour to others," Amarinder said.

Amritsar: There was nothing apologetic in Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's attitude during his volunteer service at the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Monday, Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh said and termed it as "theatrics" aimed at "publicity".

"Kejriwal's attitude and approach during his entire stay at Darbar Sahab was anything but apologetic. A person tendering apology and seeking forgiveness behaves with modesty and humility and not the way he acted today," he said.

"Moreover, you don't atone for others' sins and that too when the count of your own sins is already too long to do such favour to others," he said.

Kejriwal on Monday washed dishes in the Golden Temple's community kitchen for 45 minutes as an apology and paid obeisance at the sanctum sanctorum after his Aam Aadmi Party drew flak for depicting the image of the Sikh shrine with the party symbol - broom - in its 'youth manifesto'.

Asserting that the AAP national convener was only trying to seek "personal publicity" out of the controversy, Amarinder asked what was he (Kejriwal) atoning for as it was AAP manifesto committee in-chrage Kanwar Sandhu who was responsible for the "blasphemy" and he was nowhere to be seen.

Slamming Kejriwal for his remark during 'Talk to AK' programme on Sunday, that the Centre has created an Indo-Pak situation in Delhi, Amarinder alleged, the Delhi Chief Minister is again trying to put the blame of his own faults and failures on someone else.

"You are an anarchist by nature, a bad administrator and an excuse monger as you always try to pass the blame onto others. You are actually the wrong man at the wrong place," he alleged.

Terming Kejriwal as a "product of the frustration" that had undertaken the youths at that particular time, Amarinder claimed, "But now their eyes have opened, while you have taken that frustration upon yourself and your downslide has already started."
