Non-bailable warrant against RJD candidate

Patna: The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Chapra court has issued a non bailable warrant against Lok Sabha MP Prabhunath Singh, who is the RJD candidate from Maharajganj in Bihar. Two cases were lodged against Singh - one for disrupting the government officers on duty and second for making anti-national statements.

Prabhunath is in Delhi, presently meeting the Election Commission (EC) against Saran district administration. RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's wife Rabri Devi is contesting from Saran. She is pitted against BJP's Rajiv Pratap Rudy.

Prabhunath had won the Maharajganj seat in a by-election in 2013 defeating JDU's PK Shahi.
