Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and senior leader of the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, was gunned down near his son Zeeshan’s office in Nirmal Nagar, Mumbai, on October 12.
On Thursday, Zeeshan had demanded justice for his family, stating that his 66-year-old father’s death should not be politicised or go in vain.
“My father lost his life protecting and saving the lives and homes of poor innocent people. Today, my family is broken but his death must not be politicised and definitely not go in vain. I NEED JUSTICE, MY FAMILY NEEDS JUSTICE!,” he wrote.

Zeeshan had met with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis a day earlier to receive updates on the police investigation into his father’s murder.
Fadnavis, who holds the home portfolio in the Eknath Shinde government, briefed the Bandra East MLA about the probe in the presence of Crime Branch officials.
So far, the Mumbai police have arrested nine individuals in the murder case, including five detained on Friday during raids in Panvel and Karjat in the neighbouring Raigad district.
The main shooter in the case, Shivkumar Gautam, along with Shubham Lonkar and Mohammed Zeeshan Akhtar, is currently on the run.
