95. Patan is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Jabalpur Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Patan falls in Jabalpur district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,35,091 voters in the seat, which includes 1,22,930 male voters, and 1,12,151 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Patan recorded a voter turnout of 79.03%. In 2013 the turnout was 77.63%, and in 2008 it was 75.67%.
In 2013, Neelesh Awasthi of INC won the seat by a margin of 12,736 votes (7.52%). Neelesh Awasthi secured 50.54% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 12,404 votes (9.31%), registering 45% of the total votes polled.
