New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party-ally in Centre and Maharashtra Shiv Sena skipped the National Democratic Alliance meeting on Land Amendment Bill called on Tuesday evening. The BJP was to allay its allies' fears on land bill at the meeting.
Shiv Sena sources have said that the party's reservations on the proposed land amendment bill were conveyed to the government and party wants government to consider rights of the poor. Apart from the political parties the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has also conveyed its reservations on the bill.
Government tabled the Land Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha on Tuesday that will replace the ordinance it issued recently amidst the uproar from the Congress-led opposition parties.
