Sikh MPs raise US gurudwara shooting in Parliament
Sikh MPs said the shooting should be treated as a case of terror against minorities and not just a hate crime.

New Delhi: The US gurudwara shooting incident was raised in Parliament on Thursday with Sikh MPs saying the shooting should be treated as a case of terror against minorities and not just a hate crime.

Shiromani Akal Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal said, "I would also like to ask the government when they will stop requesting and start demanding that the US government takes concrete steps to create this awareness amongst their ignorant people. If they talk about zero tolerance on terror, does it not apply to their own native people who are propagating this crime on minorities of different colours living in the US?"

Six people were shot dead by gunman, Wade Michael Page on Sunday at a Wisconsin gurudwara in the US. The gunman was himself later killed.
