Amethi: The Congress and the BJP will be pulling out all stops on Saturday in their election campaigns in Uttar Pradesh with Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi visiting several cities, including Varanasi and Jaunpur, across the state. Rahul is expected to meet supporters in Siddharthnagar and Gorakhpur on Saturday.
Meanwhile, his sister Priyanka will focus on Amethi and Raebareli. She has ruled out campaigning across the state for the Congress.
The BJP will see its leader LK Advani launching the battle campaign from Ayodhya. After putting the Ram Mandir issue on the party manifesto, the party has been trying to reach out to the Muslim votebank.
Party leader Arun Jaitley will be meeting several Muslim leaders in Rampur on Saturday. The BJP has also promised to institute several awards in the names of legendary Urdu poets like Mirza Ghalib.
