Mumbai: Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy on Thursday claimed the BJP will be voted to power with a majority once again in the 2019 polls by the younger generation.
"For the first time, many people broke the caste lines and voted on the principle of one India, nationalism... some say it Hindutva, rising about caste and language region and younger generation looks like carrying forward this line, because they are most nationalistic.
"Therefore this will ensure that in 2019, BJP will get majority once again and we will have another five years to give good governance with politically stable government," he claimed.
He was in the city to take part in the discussion on "India: Economic and Political outlook" which was organised by Economic Research and Training Foundation wing of Indian Merchant Chamber (IMC).
He also said that Congress was "cracking up" and rest of the the parties are having a regional impact. "Therefore no other party is in a position to give a stable government."
He said, "Congress is cracking up. They are unsure who should succeed. Sonia Gandhi says he (Rahul) is coming, but mostly he (Rahul) is in London, Sometime they want to bring Priyanka and sometime to Vadra.
"God knows they are really bankrupt that they are not in position to decide their leader and other parties are regional parties and therefore we are going to give a stable government."
He also said that in the past two years of the Modi regime, not a single case of corruption has taken place anywhere in the country.
"Today the country is politically and economically well placed, but terrorism is a real threat to India's economic stability and our country need to tackle cross border terrorism sponsored from Pakistan," he said, adding cross border firing from the Pakistan border though has technically gone down to "zero".
